There are different ways you may actually be doing damage to your landscaping or garden because of the things that happen inside of your home. If you take pride in your lawn or garden, be aware of what is going on in both your yard and your home. Water & Chemical Problems If you wash your floors, you may go outside and dump the bucket of dirty water out into the backyard. But what are those chemicals going to do to your yard? Floor cleaning products often contain ammonia and while ammonia is found naturally in plants, once it is diluted with water, it changes form and can actually do more harm than good. Household ammonia will discolor your plants, burn the roots and eventually kill them.
