The first full week of “shelter in place” and area home and condo sales are still happening.
The new buzz words are taking over -virtual home tours and open houses. Online as much as possible. Buyers and sellers are making adjustments. The Multiple Listing Service of Cincinnati relaxed some guidelines and showings are no longer allowed to overlap.
To recap- housing is still important and while we adjust to the “new normal” I think some of the online practices we’re adopting will remain in place. Mortgage and Title companies are also making adjustments to limit exposure.
Waiting until the last minute to order payoffs, title searches, wire money or finalize signatures doesn’t work. Many of the service providers are working with skeleton crews and limiting access to office space.
