NAR focused on projects with a dollar value as well as projects that bring joy. The projects with the highest payoff are broken down in the report .

The best advice is to never spend money assuming a dollar for dollar return. Your $50,000 dream kitchen may not be the same dream kitchen for the next buyer. I’ve always suggested projects for your own enjoyment and spend accordingly. Don’t get caught up with the hype of a dollar for dollar return on upgrades.
