Cincinnati Ranks Highly for Foodies

Foodies in Cincinnati

Cincinnati ranks highly as one of the best cities in the nation for foodies according to the latest ranking.

The Queen City was No. 6 overall in WalletHub’s ranking of friendliness to foodies. Their study compared the 150 most populated cities in the U.S. using 21 metrics including cost of groceries, affordability and accessibility to high-quality restaurants, and number of food festivals per capita.

As the headquarters for Krogers it’s no surprise Cincinnati was No. 1 in grocery stores per capita, gourmet specialty food stores per capita and craft breweries and wineries per capita.

It also ranked highly with in the following categories:

  • Most Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Shops per capita
  • Most Craft Breweries and Wineries per capita
  • Most Gourmet Specialty Food Stores per capita

And #10 for cost of groceries and # 10 for restaurants per capita. Wine and beer lovers enjoy #16 ranking for average prices.
