Cincinnati Real Estate Numbers for the 3rd Quarter

2015 enters the home stretch and the Cincinnati real estate numbers for the 3rd quarter remain strong with a few blips in certain markets.

Gross sales dollars for single family home sales during the first 9 months of this year continues to outpace the same timeframe in 2104.

Buying and selling typically slow down in September as school, sports and other activities ramp up.  The number of homes available for sale as well how many have sold is shown below for September since 2012.


Inventory and sales Single Family Homes

The inventory has declined and the new listings and sales for September 2015 are less than the previous month – but if you look at September on the chart- the numbers are pretty much the same for each September for sales and new listings.  The number sold and the average sale prices continue to increase in all 4 counties.

The newest regulations covering loans went into effect on 10/3- deals in the piepline won’t be affected but any sale where the borrower applied for a mortgage loan should expect additional time between contract and closing.  Check with your agent for details.
