National 3rd Quarter Home Prices

filed under: Real Estate posted on December 3rd, 2014

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) recently released the 3rd Qtr Home Prices report covering national real estate sales.  The report shows how regions and individual states are doing compared to last year.  Regionally, we’re up 4.09% compared to a national average of 4.55%.

Nationally every state had increased prices except CT.

Ohio’s sale prices increased 4.% while our neighbors in Indiana and Kentucky were lower at 2.7% and 1.7% respectively.  It’s important to remember the price differentials especially when, for example,  somebody moves just across the border from Indiana or Kentucky to Ohio and wonders why prices for homes are higher here.
