Is the Local Cincinnati Real Estate Cooling?

According to the latest S/P Case- Shiller report the housing market is beginning to cool!

Cincinnati according to Mark Twain

In spite of Mark Twain’s comments about the Queen City, remember real estate is local and the current greater Cincinnati housing market is only slowing down because there aren’t enough homes and condos for sale.  Buyers are literally pouncing on new listings as soon as they hit the market.

Data pulled from the Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati shows that potential buyers have 7244– single family homes and 1227 – a dropping number for single family homes and condos available since the last township report.
Cincinnati Townships Real Estater Weekly Update 022614

3 of the 6 townships listed in this report have higher median list prices for single family homes and condos.  The west side of town is showing some signs of a cooler market-but if you look at the low number of properties available for sale-buyers are biding their time until the “spring market”.
