Even though the actual date is February 22nd, today we remember George Washington’s Birthday and the Federal holiday celebrating Presidents Day. And while many government offices and businesses are closed today, it’s important to remember the significance of the holiday is far more meaningful than finding sale items at the mall.

A home used to be an investment because we enjoy living in “it” and not just an investment to be bought and sold like stocks on Wall Street. Maybe if we remember the history of why people purchased property we could fashion government regulations to support our core values.”
