Is the local Cincinnati real estate market changing with the seasons?

The September 2013 CoreLogic Home Price Index Report paints a realistic picture of the national housing market.  The graph below paints a clear picture of the actual numbers and their impact on housing prices:

According to the report, Ohio’s Home Price Index (excluding distressed properties) is -7.30% below the pricing peak reached in July 2006.

According to the Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati potential buyers have 8869 single family homes and 1358 condos available for sale. Compared to the last zip code report, the median price on single family homes has increased in several areas and condos have remained stable with a few areas bouncing up or down.

Seasonal changes call for updated pictures on homes and condos currently listed in the MLS’s.  And make sure to keep leaves raked and lawns cut in order to retain curb appeal.  Finally, it’s darker much earlier -so if you have showings scheduled…please leave interior and exterior lights to help potential buyers find their way!
