Cincinnati Real Estate Weekly Update 070913

July is the month when lots of people pack their bags and head on vacation.  Combine torrential rain falls with vacations equals a little dip in buyer activity.  Goof news, sellers seem to realize the real estate market shift and are pricing property to capture the lower demand.

As the number of listings for homes and condos continues to shrink. According to the Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati potential buyers have 9239 single family homes and 1419  condos available -a slight dip in the number of available properties.

Compared to the last zip code report the local Cincinnati real estate market the median list prices dropped.  And in the remaining areas, median prices declined by less than a $1,000.

A bright spot for seller’s this summer- not having to water their lawns.  As for the impact of rain and vacations on real estate selling- well as long as sellers and buyers adjust to market shifts the Cincinnati real estate market should continue to hum.
