The area in and around greater Cincinnati has earned boasting rights about great golf courses open to the public. In addition to private golf clubs the list of Public Golf Courses provides opportunity to challenge golfers at all levels. Not sure where the closest golf course is located….use this interactive map provided by the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association.
The county park system, particularly Golf courses located within the Hamilton County Park system are always open for play. Hamilton county has a one time “park sticker” fee of $5. (2013) in addition to fees for greens and carts. The surrounding areas also have courses to play Clermont County Golf Courses, Warren County Golf Courses and Butler County Golf Courses.
Economic conditions forced some private/semi private courses to open their doors to golfers. Hilly courses like Beckett Ridge, and a fun par 3 in Springdale –Hidden Creek are now open to the public.
Still not sold on playing golf- well what can I say since I have spent a few hours on local courses enjoying the opportunity to meet neat people -some of whom have become long time friends and clients….that yes I’m hooked.
