Voting in Greater Cincinnati Ohio

theCincyBlog Vote 2012

Voting season has begun in Ohio and if you’re wondering about when and where to vote click here.

We’re lucky to be in a state where you can take time to vote early and not miss the opportunity to made your voice heard.  And just like past elections, the November 8th ballot is filled with local levies as well as Statewide initiatives.  Also like past elections, the statewide issues are “wordsmith wonders” so you’re never quite sure how you’re voting.

I know the first response to any levy request is no- but lots of local school levies are looking for support and while I have no quantitative data to support the premise that better schools are tied to higher real estate values- perception is reality and many buyers assume it to be true.  Our kids attended private schools but in 30 years we only voted against 1 school levy (many, many years ago)- so I also believe that highly rated school districts help real estate values.

Don’t forget to “vote early and…….”
