October in Greater Cincinnati

It must be October in greater Cincinnati as the pumpkin patches pop up along the roads.  Who can forget growing up here with the great tradition of haunted houses (and boats) as well lots of fun things at the Cincinnati Zoo and Kings Island.  Hopefully the links below will help you enjoy “the rights” of October in greater Cincinnati.

2011 Resaurant Week is Coming to Greater Cincinnati

Original Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week

Their web page covers all the important details!  Need I say more.  Don’t miss “The Original Cincinnati Restaurant Week‘ beginning on Friday September 9th and ending Sunday, September 18th.

We have taken advantage of  unbelievable prices for food at some of greater Cincinnati’s eateries and have never been disappointed.  In fact, in some places, we’ve found the fixed price menu to be less expensive than ordering just 2 appetizers off the menu.

Hope you find the time to check out the great deals.

Bon apetit!

Playing the Blues in Lebanon, Ohio

"Blues Festival Official Logo"

"Blues Festival Official Logo"

On Saturday August 6th, downtown Lebanon Ohio is dedicated to the “Blues”!

The Lebanon Blues Festival in historic downtown Lebanon runs from 11am until 11pm -with entertainment, food and …no admission fee.

And considering the size of downtown Lebanon, it certainly handles massive crowds for both the Blues Festival and Country Applefest in September.

If you’re roaming around on  N. Broadway Saturday afternoon -come visit the Open House at 23 N. Broadway- a neat mutli use property nestled in the heart of historic downtown Lebanon.

Open 3:30-5

Of course, if you’re in downtown Cincinnati this weekend you might catch the “other” Blues Festival starting tonight and running through the weekend.  All the “Blues” should make this weekend fun for all ages!

The actual  “Crazy Cardboard Regatta” races begins at noon on Saturday…and yes the boats must be made out of cardboard.  The event is a great way for everybody who’s been hiding inside all week to get out and have some fun.

Best part the event is FREE. Park your car at Voice of America Park, Miami University, VOA Learning Center and the West Chester Medical Center on Cox Road.
