How “Green” Are You?
April 29th, 2010 categories: Entertainment
Given the cooler temperatures, massive amounts of growing grass and a simple self propelled lawn mower choking itself on the wet turf….I am seriously considering “green” lawn maintenance options.

Are Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs Residing in Greater Cincinnati?
April 21st, 2010 categories: Entertainment
I would be remiss not to report on the ” dandelion time” of year we’re experiencing in greater Cincinnati. It’s spring and every single thing that can bloom…is blooming. This is the time of year when the locals turn into 6 of Snow White’s 7 Dwarfs.
Sneezy is the most popular followed by Dopey. We end up dopey after taking some non-drowsy medications to help with the sneezing- many of the sneezers find themselves in a fog. Then there’s Sleepy or Grouchy- Sleepy gave up and injested something that put him to sleep and there’s the group that don’t any meds and don’t sleep and wake up -Grouchy. And eventually we all end up seeing Doc for some type of sinus ailment.
However just as there is a happy ending for Snow White- allergy season will eventually fly away and we can put our personalized Kleenex boxes into storage.

Where are the Real “Boys of Summer”?
April 5th, 2010 categories: Entertainment, Fairfield, Ohio
Traditional references to “boys of summer” spring up the minute baseball season begins each year. And while the Cincinnati Reds take to the field this afternoon, I think the “real boys” have been out for awhile. The Skateboard Park, located inside Fairfield’s Joyce Park, attracts boarders and bikers as soon as the weather permits. These “boys” don’t require fancy gear (one actually rides proudly displaying his bvds) or high paying contracts. The board and ride for the fun of it!
