According to the experts, new home construction is helping to fuel the real estate market in greater Cincinnati.

A recent article in the Cincinnati Enquirer discusses new homes popping up all over Liberty Township.  And that’s great news as the local real estate market slowly regains some steam.  The chart below compares data for new homes/ condos closed for a 3 separate years through the end of November.  The best real estate market was in 2005 and when you compare this year to 2005 -things are moving in the right direction but we still have a way to go to recover lost ground.

According to the Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati potential buyers have 8175 single family homes and 1301 condos – a drop in the number of listings for sale.  Compared to the last zip code report, the west side of Cincinnati is currently experiencing the best pricing advantage for sellers.

Once again seasonal changes (snow, snow and more snow) call for updated pictures on homes and condos currently listed in the MLS’s.  Between the weather and the hectic holiday season, property showings have slowed down so don’t refuse any requests for showing appointments.
