Cincinnati homes for sale surged ahead in January of 2013 versus the same month in 2012 in 3 of the 4 counties. According to data pulled from the CincyMLS, only Warren County fell short of surpassing the sales volume of the previous January.
Home sellers in Warren County also experienced a drop in the average sale price- but not in the number of homes sold.

It’s hard to pinpoint the exact conditions that impacted home sales in January- weather, continuing uncertainty over the economy, lack of inventory or some other unknowns. One conclusion that easy to conclude from the chart above is -moderate priced homes were in demand in during December / January. Time (and weather conditions) will tell if the uptick in sales and average sale prices will continue throughout the year.
