The autumn real estate market in greater Cincinnati is active in some neighborhoods – but appreciation is minimal. The somewhat stagnant housing market is feeling the effects of the elections and many buyers are still sitting at home until more inventory is available for sale. According to the Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati potential buyers have 9719 single family homes and 1556 condos to buy- and the shelves continue to have fewer and fewer properties for sale. Also compared to last week, some zip codes have higher median list prices while others lost some traction.
As the final months of 2012 rumble in, interest rates remain low and the weather is cooperating with sunshine and beautiful colors. Motivated sellers need to find the right price to gain traction with the current crop of real estate “trick or treat” buyers in order to secure a contract before the new year.
