Are Home Sales in Greater Cincinnati Up or Down?
Local Cincinnati home sales volume is up in all four counties compared to the same time frame in 2011!
However increased sales volume doesn’t always mean increases in the actual sale price of the property. Many homeowners jump on part of the news-home sales up- and not the rest of the report that discusses so/so prices for sales.
| 2011 | 2012 | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| # Units | Avg Sales Price | # Units | Avg Sales Price | |
| Butler | 1370 | $137,431 | 1630 | $136,704 |
| Clermont | 800 | $159,110 | 938 | $158,645 |
| Hamilton | 3302 | $155,456 | 3514 | $158,645 |
| Warren | 965 | $209,747 | 1068 | $214,439 |
Warren County was lucky to experience a dollar increase in sales prices as well as sales volume . Both home and condo sales in greater Cincinnati are impacted by continuing hot weather, poor jobs reports and the unsteadiness of financial markets, both here and abroad, The inventory of available single family homes continues to decrease and lack of supply may help sellers struggling with finding a buyer.
