Cincinnati CiTiRAMA

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

The Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati is presenting CiTirama in Rockford Woods in June.

Imagine sitting on your deck in the morning and leaving just 15 minutes before you are due at your downtown office. The property is nestled into rolling woods off Hamilton Avenue- a quick hop to downtown Northside and 10-15 minutes from downtown, University of Cincinnati and “Pill Hill”.

Buyers (some homes are already sold) benefit from property tax abatement and, depending on construction,  LEEDS tax credits for energy efficiency.  Home prices range from just below $200,000 to $299,000- much more affordable and functional for most of today’s buyers.  And potential buyers will be surprised by how much “green” surrounds the development-lots of trees and rolling terrain.

Are Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs Residing in Greater Cincinnati?

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

I would be remiss not to report on the ” dandelion time” of year we’re experiencing in greater Cincinnati.  It’s spring and every single thing that can bloom…is blooming.  This is the time of year when the locals turn into 6 of Snow White’s 7 Dwarfs.

Sneezy is the most popular followed by Dopey.  We end up dopey after taking some non-drowsy medications to help with the sneezing- many of the sneezers find themselves in a fog.  Then there’s Sleepy or Grouchy- Sleepy gave up and injested something that put him to sleep and there’s the group that don’t any meds and don’t sleep and wake up -Grouchy.  And eventually we all end up seeing Doc for some type of sinus ailment.

However just as there is a happy ending for Snow White- allergy season will eventually fly away and we can put our personalized Kleenex boxes into storage.
