A Streetcar Named Desire?

I was going to write about “Issue 9″ but then thought about it and then decided it’s a no win subject.
Opponents and proponents of the light rail issue are battling hard to win your vote in November. I cannot physically vote for or against the issue (the ballot wording is confusing-so beware) but I can offer an opinion about the concept. Back in April I discussed the impact of “light rail” on the region and many out-of town buyers continue to be amused by our lack of speedy public transit.
Let me be clear, we probably don’t need to spend more money tomorrow on streetcars, but why would any city deny itself the opportunity to improve in the future? So I’m borrowing the title from Tennessee Williams “A Streetcar Named Desire” hoping the outcome of Cincinnati’s storyline won’t include all the subplot themes, allusions and torment.
