Is Foreclosure Help for Cincinnati on the Way?
March 5th, 2009 categories: Foreclosures & Short Sales, West Chester Ohio
Much has been said and written about the aid on the way to help property owners facing foreclosure.
According to a detail article in the Wall Street Journal highlighting that the bailout would aid 1 in 9 homeowners. Obviously everybody would like to see a higher percentage of foreclosures addressed- but at least it’s a start.
It is hard to speculate on the impact on the real estate market in greater Cincinnati. The loan refinancing section requires that a homeowner not owe more than 105% of the current estimated value- and since our local real estate market has not crashed- we may exceed that 1 in 9 prediction.
Today’s Cincinnati Enquirer covered many of the questions- and provided links to resources.
Stay tuned- the plan will probably take many turns and twists as it works its way through the system.
