“Moving On” in Real Estate

I hate moving- just beam me to the next location and everything will be ok!
We’re moving- (not the hubby and me)-the entire office is moving.
Brand new space in Union Centre- need I say more.
But still, I hate moving. Luckily I packed before departing for a trip to India- so my things are in a box in my basement. Other agents are packing right now- stuff is everywhere- a functioning stapler is worth its weight in gold.
Which brings me back to the “beaming”. Every homeowner has struggled with the sort/trash/pack…unpack/sort/put away process. It’s part of moving and for those who can afford it- professional packers/movers do help with the process. However the normal “local move” usually is a combination of movers and do it yourself.
I am counting the days until someone invents the “moving beam”- one touch and people and “stuff” instantly transported to next property.
In the meantime, I will continue to dodge boxes in the office and tolerate the up and down internet access- because the new space is awesome.
My suggestion- if you have been in your home for awhile and plan on moving in the next year or so- start dumping and cleaning now!
