Priceless!

As we continue our trip through northern India, the Taj Mahal will never be forgotten.

If it were listed for sale the descriptive terms would be – simple, serene and magnificent. 

Pictures don’t tell the whole story, you really must see this for yourself.

On the way through northern India, where 70% of India’s population resides, we passed a booming commercial district in Lalsot. 

The next stop was “The Retreat” in Kalakho, then onto camels to reach a village of 70 people in Bairva.

The village elder faces the same real estate issues as Americans.  Another family in the village, with four sons, has stopped construction on the family home because of disputes between the brothers.

 Next stop…heading to Agra, India and the Taj Mahal.

As you know, President Obama is scheduled to sign the final stimulus package today, during his visit to Denver, Colorado.  However, since we are traveling in India, we are cutoff from our primary news sources.  I have asked my daughter to post some helpful links you can use to get a better idea of the stimulus package details and how this might affect your future home buying and selling decisions.

As in real estate – everything is about location and price.  Not to be outdone by malls and the internet, this city center shopping area in Jaipur, India is beyond busy.

It was quite delightful to wander on foot and shop close to hundreds of stores.  Maybe Cincinnati and the suburban areas should consider some new ways to attract business and residential activity.
