Lessons Learned on a Sunday Bike Ride
July 20th, 2008 categories: Entertainment, Real Estate News
This morning we loaded the bikes and “drove” over to the Little Miami Scenic Trail or as we call it -the Loveland bike trail. As luck would have it the slightly overcast sky kept the heat down for awhile and we enjoyed our time on the trail.
Since my husband bikes often, I am left to my own devices to kill time between the end of my shorter (more sensible) and his much longer (macho) ride.
There are lessons to be learned even when you know how to ride a bike!
Lesson #1
You do not always have to wear “biking clothes”. A helmet is essential, but the riders I passed this morning were a testament to basic bike riding…shorts, tops and shoes.

Well dressed riders….
Lesson #2
At camp sites, bordering the trail, families were making breakfast and starting to gather up their belongings. I could hear the voices of kids who wanted to wade into the river- waiting for some adult to join them. Sometimes it’s great to just enjoy a day- no particular destination- just the fun of being outside.

Heading toward Morrow….
Lesson #3
No matter how steady you think you’re pedaling and balance might be- taking pictures while riding a bike often ends up with blurry photos.

Lesson #4
Always make sure you stop somewhere and relax. My favorite place to stop is in Morrow at Miranda’s Old Time Ice Cream Shop. The scoops are huge, the staff is always pleasant and we often end up talking to very interesting people from all over- also enjoying a scoop or two (or three) of ice cream.

Hope you had a great weekend and hopefully, sometime we may cross paths on the trail or in real estate.
